The Marketing Director will be managing existing teams consisting of business development, public relations, and an outside marketing agency to ensure the team is on track to hit their goals. The marketing directly will also be responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy to drive awareness, engagement, and patient acquisition for our addiction and PTSD training programs.
This role requires a creative and strategic leader who understands the nuances of marketing in the healthcare and behavioral health fields, with a special focus on digital channels, patient-centric messaging, and brand integrity. The ideal candidate is a seasoned marketing professional with experience in mental health, wellness, or healthcare marketing, skilled in lead generation, branding, content marketing, and digital strategies.
Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy Development and Execution
• Develop, implement, and evaluate multi-channel marketing strategies to promote the treatment center’s services and differentiate our brand.
• Set measurable goals aligned with patient acquisition, engagement, and retention, and create strategies for outreach, lead generation, and conversion.
Digital Marketing and Content Strategy
• Oversee digital marketing efforts, including SEO, paid advertising (PPC), social media, email campaigns, and website management, to drive patient leads.
• Monitor and optimize website performance and user experience, ensuring accessibility and clear paths to conversion.
Brand and Communications
• Manage and strengthen the center’s brand voice, messaging, and visual identity to foster trust, empathy, and authority in the field of mental health and addiction treatment.
• Work with the PR team to manage media relations, public communication, and crisis management as it pertains to brand reputation.
Market Research and Competitive Analysis
• Conduct ongoing market research to understand the needs, pain points, and demographics of our target audience and develop positioning strategies accordingly.
• Analyze competitors in the mental health and addiction treatment field to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for differentiation.
Relationship and Referral Marketing
• Collaborate with the business development team to build and maintain relationships with referring professionals, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
• Develop and manage referral marketing programs and partner communications, strengthening the referral network and increasing patient admissions.
Analytics and Reporting
• Track, analyze, and report on marketing campaign performance and key metrics, using data-driven insights to optimize campaigns and strategies continuously.
• Set up and maintain dashboards and regular reporting for leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational goals.
• 4-7+ years of marketing leadership experience preferably in mental health, addiction treatment, or military/veterans background.
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies, with a strong emphasis on digital marketing and lead generation.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a compassionate, patient-focused approach to content and messaging.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, drive insights, and pivot marketing strategies based on metrics.
• Demonstrated experience in content strategy, social media, SEO, PPC, and email marketing.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a passion for our mission.
• Ready to be challenged both professionally and personally.
• A veteran/first responder background is highly preferred.
• Extremely organized and self-sufficient with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing requirements.
• Must be willing to provide support beyond normal business hours.
